Publisher's Intro'

"Before you speak, listen. Before you write, think. Before you spend, earn. Before you invest, investigate Before you criticize, wait. Before you pray, forgive. Before you quit, try. Before you retire, save. Before you die, give.”
-William Arthur Ward

Now let's play a game. You are in a factory where babies are manufactured. This imaginary factory offers the brands: male and female. And you are here to make your pick. You have only one choice. The only choice of a lifetime. Boy or girl? Which one would you choose? You must pick one, and no more, forever. Honestly, would you close your eyes and pick whichever one you lay your hands on? Or would you shine your eye well, well and carefully and consciously go for your heart desire, a ... boy?
Yes, a boy, the popular brand. Let's be frank here, whether this human manufacturing factory is located in Africa or Europe or America the boy brand would run out of stock in no time. Even most women would be going for the popular brand. Yeah, we live in an Internet age of facebook, bebo and the likes, but this is not about adding friends and deleting them at will. It is more serious than that. It demands that the choice has to be made carefully. It is this age-long battle between the sexes that is at the centre of our Talking Point in this edition. We ask, “Male vs Female? Is a male child more important than a female child?”
Our xclusive interview in this edition is what I would call double barrel. One is with James Ikechukwu Esomugha, the Nollywood superstar popularly known across the continent of Africa and indeed the whole world as Jim Iyke. Eloquent, intelligent, passionate… sexy. The other is John Okafor. Hilarious, funny, a professional mumu. Some of you call him Mr Ibu. Others prefer Uncle Wayward. Different sobriquets coined out of the eponymous character in his comedy. Jim and John speak to Xclusive Magazine on life, love and career.
Stylish, exquisite, classy, posh…the wedding between Aghogho and Billy commands these and many more superlatives. The crew of Xclusive Magazine flew all the way from Ireland to Sapele, Nigeria to bear witness to what is being talked about in high circles right now as a top class wedding. It is served here fresh and hot! Hot also is the developing story of Toyosi Shitta-bey, the 15-year-old Nigerian who was racially murdered over three months ago. Hot also is the profile of Goapele, a South African born musician taking the US and the world by storm. Plus Baffles’ Valentine ball.
There are also our regulars on fashion, entertainment, tourism, and thought-provoking articles by the best team on paper. So much in this edition for your reading pleasure.
Enjoy!
