Publisher's Intro'

Peter Anny-Nzekwue

"Consult not your fears, but your hopes and your dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but with what it is still possible for you to do.”
-Pope John XXIII

I think you should be the first to know. We are about to add another title to the ever-growing Xclusive Media Group. Yes, we are expanding and we give God the glory. First came the Dublin Quarterly, an international review of contemporary fiction, then Xclusive Magazine, Ireland's African only lifestyle monthly and now Xclusive News Digest, a news and entertainment (reloaded) Newspaper. Xclusive News Digest is coming very soon. And it will change the face of newspaper publication for Africans in Ireland. Mark my word!
Now to the main gist. Irelands' Igbo community is at war, and at the centre of it is the Ezeigbo title. Xclusive Magazine, in its investigative best, in a no holds barred revelation, exposes the genesis, the intrigues and the aftermath of this mother of all internecine wars. Our Xclusive Xposé, “Things Fall Apart: How Ezeigbo Title Tears Ireland's Igbo Community Apart”, is a bomb!
“Juicy Whispers” is back, and with a bang! It still deals with hot and sizzling gossip, but now repackaged and refocused on Nollywood and African music stars. It is now anchored by a seasoned entertainment writer, Faith Irabor. Also, we have re-energized our “All About Style” section. Zenani Adebogun, also a seasoned style writer, now edits it. Also, our Xclusive Face-of-Africa page that showcases the beauty that is proudly African, is back.
2008 will forever be remembered as the year he walked into history with an oratory swagger. Barack Obama the orator, the gifted, the son of a Kenyan father, the pride of the black race. “For the Records” is a full blast of the inaugural address of the 44th and first Africa-American President of the United States of America.
Africa Centre has been reinvigorated. Eric Yao, the new Coordinator, has given it a new life-force in its promotion of Africa and Africans in Ireland. And we in Xclusive Magazine have pledged our full support. So when Africa Centre rolled out a fund-raising ball, Xclusive Magazine was there to capture its glitz and glamour....And of course our regulars on Entertainment, Fashion, culture and Lifestyle.
It's a New Year! Therefore it's befitting that I express my personal gratitude to God for keeping this dream alive, in spite of all challenges. My gratitude also to you for your patronage and support all these years: you the advertiser, the reader, the writer and the well wisher because without you there would be no Xclusive Magazine.
And to Gomgom, what can I say? He who findeth a wife findeth a good thing. Xclusive Magazine is the dream we shared and nursed (and still nursing) together. Just two of us know the stretch of the distance we have covered doing this: the height of our highs, the depth of our lows and the secret whispers that fill the gulf between.
Compliments of the Season, all!
