Publisher's Intro'

"Power is in many ways a game of appearances, and when you say less than necessary, you inevitably appear greater
and more powerful than you are.” -Robert Green The 48 Laws of Power.
Greg Oboh, the anchor man of “Out of Africa”, the entertainment
news column in Xclusive Magazine, wrote some time ago that Genevieve Nnaji once wept bitterly when she was denied a role in
a movie that would have earned her an equivalent of less than ten Euro. Well, Genevieve has grown so influential in the Nollywood
film industry and so wealthy in life that that incident now appears to have happened a very, very long time ago. I'm sure that
she would not even remember anymore that she was ever paid peanuts for a role.
In July 2004 Genevieve spurned an offer to feature in a movie that would have earned her a whooping
$6,700 because, in my own words, she didn't need it, just like she doesn’t need the controversies that now dog her every path. If
you think you know all about Genevieve wait until you read our cover feature, “Genevieve Nnaji: Accolade and Controversy of
A Nollywood Star.”
Can money buy your love? Yes? No? Not too sure? There is this tendency to waver in such a materialistic
world as ours where many women (and men too) will willingly sacrifice their love on the altar of money, another way of saying, don’t
mind what is written on the car and enter the car, such warped wisdom of perverted women (sorry, I meant to say minds) to justify
selfish and loveless goal. In this month's “Talking Point” we delve into the age-long controversy between agape love and material
love. It is aptly titled, “Money, Money, Money: Is Your Love for Sale?”
It is the biggest business idea in Nigerian history. It began in Ireland, and it has been
making waves the world over. I’m talking about theBwaymall.com. It is the first online shopping mall where Nigerians,
anywhere in the world, now buy goods of their choice without hassles and it is delivered to the intended recipient in Nigeria.
This great business initiative, which was launched in Dublin on 29 August, is one of the feature stories inside this edition.
The other exciting features are: Ankara Carnival/Miss & Mrs. Nigeria 2008 beauty pageant;
Amina's all white stylish 40th birthday bash; CAC Ballerfermot 7th Anniversary; etc. Plus, our regulars on Entertainment,
Fashion, Culture and Lifestyle...
It is authoritative and it has the official seal and support of Xclusive Magazine! It is
