"Cut the word ‘impossible’ out of your mind. Eliminate it from your conversations, drop it from your thoughts, erase it from your attitudes. Get rid of it -”
-Norman Vincent Peale
You Can If You Think You Can.

Hooray, we are one!
Xclusive Magazine is a contraption that began in March 2006. With just me, a salaried African correspondent, two contract graphic artists and thirteen contributors, who all gave their expertise from different fields for free, and whose contributions, though vary in degrees, are all of equal importance. Some of these contributors are still trudging on with me, few others had moved on to other dreams and a new set joined on the way. There were also the five editorial advisers, who lent and still continue to lend their precious names to this classy lifestyle magazine that has become a brand, the Xclusive Brand…
Yes, Xclusive Brand! Just one year, Xclusive has firmly established itself as the leading black magazine in Ireland, and is fast extending its frontiers in Europe. So it’s no surprise that it's now the vogue to give every major event in Ireland the feel of the Xclusive Brand… I attribute my success to divine pampering: without God this venture is impossible. But I also attribute it to my ability and my passion for my job. I chose publishing not only because I want to make money, but also because I love writing. So even when the road is rough and the money is not coming in, as it should, I still derive pleasure from doing my job…
But then I've realised that it's impossible to be this successful without, advertently or inadvertently, stepping on so many toes. I might have hurt some people with the words I said to them. I might have offended some sensibilities with the photographs I published. It's even possible that few people simply take offence by the way I carry myself, just because it's me. It's human to be fallible: just as it's impossible to please all. I'm sure all I did I'd done in the heat of passion to be the best that I can be, to give the best that Xclusive Magazine can give. So to those I stepped on their toes I sincerely say: I am very sorry, with a big bear hug.
Now that we have buried the hatchet and my sins are forgiven, let's give three cheers, first for the Xclusive Brand: Hip, hip…Hooray! Then another for all contributors, advertisers and you the reader: Hip, hip…Hooray! And the last cheers for Gomgom, my advert executive, my jewel of a wife. I dedicated the maiden edition of this magazine to you. And that I again dedicate this anniversary issue to you is symbolic of your importance to my well-being and to the Xclusive Brand: Hip, hip…Hooray! And with just €2 offer for this anniversary issue I...
Welcome you all to the next level!

Abdusalam Abubakar Abdusalam Abubakar:
may be just sixteen-years-old, but he is the hottest name in Ireland right now. For his feat in networked computer security, the fear all over Europe is that the Internet commerce is in for a rough time.
