Publisher's Intro'

"Not all gutter rats are born in the dustbin and not all gutter rats will die in the gutter.”
-Meja Mwangi Kill Me Quick..
What does it take to satisfy a woman, African woman?
Boyish charm? Maybe. Sexual prowess? Probably. Loaded pocket? Perhaps. The truth
is that not many of us really know what it takes to make our women happy and so we end up playing the guessing game.
Have you noticed that most men who are ravening wolves in bed are often with a red bank account? And what is the use
of having so much money anyway, when your member is on permanent sabbatical? This month’s cover story, “What Makes
African Women Happy?: Sex? Shoes? Babies? Money?” is a desperate search for the source of women’s happiness because
when women are happy we men are also happy. All men should please read this and be wise.
Were you at the Nigeria Independence Day After Party at Belvedere Lounge on 1 October?
I don’t need to tell you that Xclusive Magazine was one of the organisers because you know already. It was not just
the biggest African night, but also the most classy and glamorous. I personally gave away 74 copies of the immediate
last edition of the Xclusive Magazine. Who said there is no life in Dublin? Who said African women are not gorgeous
and sexy? Our Xclusive pictures on this memorable event will blow your mind. And there is also another Xclusive on
“Nite of a Thousand Laughs,” a show that kept Dublin and Cork laughing for two days.
We also have a line-up of Xclusive interviews: with Victoria Inyama-Okri, one of the most
beautiful and talented actresses in Nollywood and the Prime Time Africa duo; Dayo Adeneye (D1) and Kenny Ogungbe (Keke).
Plus the long promised interview with Chinedu Onyejelem, the publisher of Metro Éireann. It is our hope that Chinedu’s
interview will be the first of a regular monthly profiling of successful African entrepreneurs in Ireland. What more?
Yeah, the usual on sports, food and gossips. But the big surprise is that “Out Of Africa”, featuring news on entertainment,
movies, arts and music across Africa, is back. Enjoy.
She was a year older on 29 September. Gomgom, my spiritual anchor. My illuminator. My
anchor radar. My confidante. My wife…. She is so many things to me…. a woman with whom I have found stability; a woman
whom I have known for sixteen years; a woman whom I have been married to for ten years…And to one of my sons, Ugochukwu
(Hero), who turned four on 13 October. This edition is a sincere birthday wish from a husband and father who wants to
give so much, but through no fault of his gives so little.
My sincere love.

...We are in Europe and contrary to African traditional belief, African women are the ‘head nigger in charge.’ |

Victoria Inyama-Okri:
She is one of the many Nollywood A-list actresses that had so much bad press. Unfair accusations, ranging
from husband snatching to struggling for a piece of pomo (cow hide). |

Nigeria Independence Day AfterParty::
As early as 11pm, when Belvedere Lounge, Dublin was in full swing, others were closing shops: a pathetic case of “bad market.”

Chinedu Onyejelem:
He doesn’t own a car. He rarely watches television. He hardly goes to parties. Is the publisher of Metro Eiereann eccentric? |
