Publisher's Intro'
"Lose your stock certificates, lose your property, but don't lose your dreams."
-Norman Vincent Peale In God We Trust: A Positive Faith for Troubled Times..
There are three categories of people.

Those who make things move. Those who watch things move. Those who wonder why things move. In our
characteristic manner of celebrating industry and excellence, Xclusive magazine went in search of
people in the first category. Specifically, the African women who make things move in Ireland. We
dug deep. We combed all the nook and cranny of Ireland. We used every technology possible. “Xclusive
Top 10 Influential African Women in Ireland” is a painstaking research, carried out over a period of
four months. It is audacious. It is informative. It is authoritative.
You will also find in this edition our profile of Declan Carty, the
lively presenter of “City Edition” on Newstalk 106FM. Getting Declan to grant Xclusive Magazine
an interview is a personal achievement for me: his is one of my best shows on Radio. “Declan Carty … Star
in Our Eyes” is the first of what will now be our regular profiling of Irish Celebrities. Cross my heart!
Ramsey Tokunbo Nouah (with a u)! Yes, we didn’t forget. We promised in the
last edition. Now we have delivered it, sizzling hot. There is also the concluding part of Stella
Damasus-Aboderin interview from our last edition and another Xclusive interview with the Nigerian
Information Minister, Mr. Frank Nweke. Of course, there are our regulars on food, health and sports. We
even have two new additions to the regulars in this edition: Fashion Fair for Women and Juicy Whispers.
There is so much, so much in this edition for your reading pleasure.
Aha, July is my special month. Three of my four children were born in the
month of July. So it is a month for no broken promises. An X-Box for Nonso who turns ten (July 6). A Barbie
Bike for Onyinye who turns six (July 17). At least a McDonald’s Happy Meal for Ogo who turns two (July 16).
A father has to honour his promise to his first son and his two lovely daughters. Yes, no broken promises.
Happy birthday, kiddies!
